And the Treatment Continues

Thank you for your continued prayers and support! I guess no news is good news at this point. We are just moving right along with treatments. I am in the 2nd phase of chemo, with 2 new medications. I am on Taxol and Carboplatin for anyone who likes to google this stuff. 🙂 I wouldn’t, though. You see some crazy stuff! For me, this medication has been more tolerable than the last. It was what they predicted, and I’m thankful it’s true! Don’t get me wrong, it’s no picnic, but tolerable. Amongst odd side effects like my nails turning funky colors, the worst one is fatigue. Being tired all the time is definitely, well, exhausting. Toward the weekend it begins to go fade and I feel more like myself again. Then the cycle starts over again on Monday.

Depending on how you count it, you could say we’re halfway done! I have 16 total treatments, and there are 7 left. If my white blood counts stay aright, I’ll be wrapping up this little party mid-December. Thank you for all of your prayers and support through all of this. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.

    “This is my fight song
    Take back my life song
    Prove I’m alright song
    My power’s turned on
Starting right now I’ll be strong
    I’ll play my fight song
And I don’t really care if nobody else believes
‘Cause I’ve still got a lot of fight left in me”
